The mandate of the CIC is to coordinate with the Attorney-General and the Kenya Law Reform Commission (KLRC) in preparing for tabling in Parliament, the legislation required to implement the Constitution. The timelines have been set out in the Fifth Schedule. They are like a watchdog over that legislation. Whereas we have witnessed in many counties health workers going on strike, these strikes have been settled within a week or at most 10 days.
