  • 19 Jun 2019 in National Assembly: The motor vehicle drivers and riders of motorcycles should be occasionally trained even if they were previously trained and hold licenses. This will renew their knowledge of traffic rules. If we do this, we will avoid deaths. I know there is an issue about insurance for bodabodas . Sometimes, looking at these issues, you begin to wonder the number of people who are limping or have been maimed as a result of road accidents and yet nobody pays them. We need to have a good insurance which will compensate those who get involved in accidents that impair them physically. view

They have been exploited for a long time. Now that their case has come to this House, we should make sure that they are paid and paid well enough at least for their jobs. view
  • 27 Mar 2019 in National Assembly: If you go to land issues, the Government depends on village elders for advice and their advice normally is very important for whoever is charging the case. On educational matters like my colleagues have said, we use them quite a lot. The Government uses them and we cannot ignore their performance. As we speak, the Government has a food policy. This is one of the Big Four Agenda of the Government. The people who can get villagers to go to their shambas and till their land for food production are the village elders. They are very useful in this situation. view
