  • 8 Oct 2020 in National Assembly: Thank you. It is just that the card has refused to work. Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairlady, I simply want to acknowledge and appreciate the contributions from Hon. (Dr.) Nyikal. However, I also want to add that it is not just enough to train people and have them prepared for the cancer management. When we cannot come up with a system of rewarding the workers, all that we are doing and the legislation we are putting in place will count to nothing. This is because we have had cases of very qualified Kenyans who have moved to other countries in the ... view
  • 8 Oct 2020 in National Assembly: It is true, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairlady, but it is within that because we are speaking about human resource management – the training and the rewarding. This is because you cannot be rewarded for what you have not done. What cannot be measured cannot be rewarded. I support, but we need to manage the human resource and the reward process better than what we are doing. Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairlady. view
  • 2 Jul 2020 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. Yes, today I am in the Opposition, but I have not shifted. I want to appreciate, and I am seated next to my classmate, Hon. Odhiambo-Mabona. Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, I stand to support this Bill. This Bill is an improvement on the Act of Parliament that is already in place. But I would want to say two or three things other than what Hon. Odhiambo-Mabona has said. You realise that, this is an issue that brings about that delicate balance between human rights and national interests. Kenya, as it is, hosts some of ... view

  • 23 Jun 2020 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. As I stand here, I am a very proud Kenyan today. That is because Kenya is a Member of the UN Security Council. I want to take this opportunity to congratulate President Uhuru Kenyatta for his vigorous campaign to ensure that we got this slot at the UN Security Council. I also want to thank the Ambassador and, of course, the team that was able to bring this seat home, including Ambassador Kamau and one of my good classmates Ms. Koki Muli. The primary responsibility of a security council is to ensure there is ... view
