Speaker, I think the Leader of the Minority Party, who is a Member of the Committee, has explained what the Budget and Appropriations Committee has sought to do. The only assurance I want to give to the House is that within the Parliament Budget we have adequate resources to cater for the issues that have been mentioned which I do not want to go into. view

Speaker, what we sought to do, and this is the clarification I want to make on the issue of the Appropriations Bill, is that when we get to the itemised items, the Parliamentary Service Commission will be able to amend and reallocate resources adequately. What the Budget and Appropriations Committee has said as the Leader of the Minority Party has clearly articulated is we refused to allow further resources to be allocated to Parliament. view
