  • 9 May 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Chairlady, when we talk of Clause 7, as much as it is said not to be of much use, I think we need to cushion ourselves. We need to have a safeguard as other speakers have said so that we do not have any mischief of any sort in interpretation. I do not think there is any harm in having a safeguard. It is very important that we move on with the business of passing the Division of Revenue Bill because the Government cannot move forward without us going through this very important exercise. Even the dear salaries that we are all talking about and the expenditure of this House will not be possible without the enactment of the Bill. The functioning of Government will equally not be possible. view
