It ensured that public participation and openness in carrying out the proceedings was adhered to. Notifications inviting the public to submit memoranda were placed in the mainstream print media in tandem with the law. view
  • 20 Nov 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, Sir, arising from the notifications, the public submitted presentation to the Committee over the nomination. Three memoranda were received. One of the memoranda was by a group called “Maisha Uhuru” while the other was by one Mr. Martin Njue Mwangi. The two memoranda were not in the form of sworn affidavit and were, therefore, not admissible before the Committee. view

Mr. Mwangi raised issues of objections on the nominee. The Committee made several findings during the vetting exercise and those findings guided it in making its financial recommendations. view
