15 May 2013 in National Assembly:
On a point of order, hon. Speaker, Sir. I rise to seek further guidance especially on the matter that hon. Wario has raised. As you know, this is a new dispensation and as they say, every day is a learning day. The Leader of the Majority Party has said that he, kind of, has the powers to instruct the relevant Ministry to take action. You said he does not have that power. This is with due humility because you know that I cannot have mischief. We want to know in a situation where we have an emergency, who is supposed ...

3 Jan 2013 in National Assembly:
3 Jan 2013 in National Assembly:
First of all, I really wish to say that we need professionals who are above board to actually be in charge of this particular organization. I want to confirm that Halakhe Dida Waqo is a very capable professional, who can actually steer this organization to what we want. For this country to attain Vision 2030, we actually have to have zero tolerance towards corruption. I support this appointment and I am sure he will do a superb job.

3 Jan 2013 in National Assembly:
Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I support the report with a very heavy heart. I say “with a very heavy heart” because I happen to know this officer, Dr. Nzomo. At one time when I was an untrained teacher and we used to report to the Teachers Service Commission, this lady was known as one of the most efficient and very effective officers. That is why I am saying that I am supporting with a very heavy heart because I know she is a very capable person. I want to reiterate what my colleague, Mr. Githae, said that meritocracy must ...

2 Jan 2013 in National Assembly:
Mr. Speaker, Sir, thank you for giving me this chance to thank the Prime Minister for the good expose on what this House has achieved since its inception or since this Parliament began. I also want to thank him for being the sober politician that he has been since he became the Prime Minister of this Republic. Of course, he is going to be the last Prime Minister of the Republic of Kenya because our Constitution does not recognize this position again. I want to thank you for your landmark ruling, namely, the Solomonic wisdom that you have given in ...
