I also rise to support the appointment of the chairperson and other members to the IEBC. We all know as Kenyans the road we have travelled. We know how this issue started and we know exactly where we are and where we are going. It is true, as my colleagues have said here, that people lost lives and property. People sat on roads and Kenyans were tear-gassed till we got the freedom to nominate the commissioners that we want to manage elections in this country, come August this year. Indeed, the youth of this country have been taken for a ride for a very long time. This is money meant to assist the youth to empower themselves so that they can live like other Kenyans. We have had quite a number of cases where people just take away public money and nobody follows them. The committees of this House write reports with clear recommendations but nothing happens. It is my wish that this Report is implemented. As my colleagues have said, whoever benefited from the corrupt deals should be brought to book. The culprits should be taken to court. ...

Thank you Hon. Speaker, for giving me this opportunity so that I can also contribute to this very important Bill. Some of my colleagues have said a number of our constituencies do not have a single kilometre of tarmac road. It is important for us to come up with these kinds of boards so that we can have some uniformity on how roads are constructed in this country.
