  • 1 Jul 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. First, allow me to thank Hon. Wamunyinyi who has come up with this Bill. It is about reinstating the Sugar Act. I was in this House when we had the older Sugar Act, and the Crops Act, which introduced AFA and the Sugar Directorate, which has put us where we are today. Kenya is an agricultural country. • 22 Jun 2021 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, I want to plead with you because this Question was raised after some discussion with Members of Parliament because it is a cross-cutting issue. It is unfortunate that she is not here. view

  • 16 Jun 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I rise on Standing Order No. 42C (4) in terms of responses to these Questions, especially where there is a supplementary question. You find that with this current situation of COVID-19 where responses are supposed to be given online or in a virtual meeting, Members who have supplementary questions do not have an opportunity to ask those questions. For example, the Question raised by Hon. Osotsi about capitation is a Question that I would have also wished to know about the capitation in Kakamega.
