Hon. Speaker, I think we need to come up with a clause which takes care of cultural exemptions. That is because we all come from different cultures. In some cultures, it is a demonstration of love when you do a bit of beating to your wife.

Hon. Speaker, if you do not do it, you are seen not to love your wife. So, we need some exemption to that to some extent. We need to accommodate culture so that it is a balance between culture and the legal framework.

So, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, with that kind of situation, I think it is important that this House supports this amendment so that the father and the mother can have virtually equal opportunities or chances of accessing the children and, if you need to support your child even if you are not married, then you have that free hand to go and support your child. At the end of the day, then you find that the child will be protected and taken care of without those restrictions.

Hon. Speaker, I want to conclude by saying that if we take care of the issues I have raised in terms of what I think is not good for this country, I will be supporting this Bill. I will be doing that because I am a father of two sons and two daughters. So, I want them to enjoy the marriage institution when they get married.

Thank you, hon. Chairlady. I also support this amendment and I want to say that my hope is that Kenyans will not be used as proxies in these companies. You have realised like in the Lamu land issue that we have so many land directors who are not known, because they have used proxies. We are going to get real Kenyans being directors and shareholders in these companies.

Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman, I also want to support this amendment. I am really excited about the specifics. When you look at this amendment, it is very specific on the costs. I like that element that they are very specific.

On a point of order, hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. You know some of us are getting frustrated because with this technology we are not supposed to be shouting. I wanted to revisit the amendment by hon. Musimba. Although you have said you have dropped it, what is happening when you look at this amendment is very important. You see, this is a situation where the power of this Commission is being taken away from the commissioners and given to a CEO who is somebody who is just appointed by the public. We must be fair.
