  • 25 Jul 2018 in National Assembly: We need a substantive RPP. Let us start by looking at ourselves, those who are in charge of political parties. If we promote democracy at that level, we will make the work of the RPP easy, but in a situation where we have all this confusion in political parties, automatically that office will be confused. I support this appointment and plead with Members to allow these Kenyans who have been given this opportunity to serve us. If they have any shortcomings, the law is very clear in terms of how you can replace a commission. I am sure the Chair ... view
  • 25 Jul 2018 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for your information, after the next election, some of us here have very good papers and would want to be appointed to some of these positions after Kenyans will have said ‘no’ to us. This is because about 70 per cent will be going home. We have no choice. You may want to hear this statement or not, but starting 2023, about 70 per cent of the Members will be away from this place and we will be seeing new faces all over the place. • 3 Jul 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker. I am a very serious Member. When you mention my name, and Kenyans are listening, you might start sending the wrong signal. It is not Makali, mention the other names. view
  • 3 Jul 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me this chance to contribute. The waiting has been long. You have told us to contribute for only six minutes because we care about our colleagues. We will try to summarise, so that everybody gets a chance to say something. view
