The Government must be disturbed that it takes the First Lady for them to be reminded that they are failing Kenyans. I am begging, with all the seriousness it deserves, that the Government responds to what the First Lady is doing by doing the following. One, the Government must free the funds for free maternal care to the Governors so that they can administer that fund. Two, it should respond by ensuring that enough funds are given – even if it means conditional grants to our counties – so that our Governors can employ enough medical personnel.
