12 Sep 2012 in National Assembly:
Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, when a mother holds a baby for an average of 30 minutes for about four or five times a day or more, there is such strong bonding between the mother and that child. That bond never ever dies and that is why you find that in times of war, men run away to fight. But a woman first takes the babies. She would rather even burn in her house with the babies. But she can never run and leave behind the children. It is that bonding that has developed since the baby was small. I think ...

29 Aug 2012 in National Assembly:
Thank you, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, for granting me this opportunity to contribute to this timely Bill. I want to begin by really thanking Dr. Khalwale for finding it fit to bring it, so that we can protect all Kenyans from selfish investors who want to take advantage of unknowing Kenyans and make money out of them. Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, the reason I want to support this Bill is because a lot of my constituents lost millions and millions of money to these pyramid schemes. Secondly, I want to give a real life story of an old ...

20 Jun 2012 in National Assembly:
Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I have looked at the answer that I have and I am not comfortable with it. I think it is very inadequate for the hon. Member of Parliament. So, I seek the indulgence of this House to allow me to bring the answer on Wednesday afternoon.

20 Jun 2012 in National Assembly:
Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I rise to support this Motion. This is because many of us here who have constituencies have a lot of work. We have money that was increased by the CDF to Kshs17 million that we need to go and get and put into good use. We need that break to go and do work in the constituency. I support.

20 Jun 2012 in National Assembly:
Madam Temporary Deputy Chairlady, my concern here is that hon. Dr. Khalwale is misleading this House. You know very well that rape never happens in public places. Most of the rape happens in

20 Jun 2012 in National Assembly:
Madam Temporary Deputy Chairlady, having listened to the arguments from both sides, I am persuaded that we go by hon. Dr. Khalwale’s amendment. This is because I think whatever it is we do, must be what provides access of justice by majority of Kenyans. If the employees themselves have not been properly consulted on this matter, I think pending this amendment for a short while, just to allow for further consultations, does not hurt. This is because I think the majority of Kenyans require this Industrial Court. So, I would really beg the hon. Members that, for once, let us ...

Madam Temporary Deputy Chairlady, I stand to oppose this amendment. I think we are in serious business. I do not know of anywhere where you seek for a job using your nickname. Let us stick to official names. I oppose.

12 Jun 2012 in National Assembly:
Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I want to take this opportunity to add my voice to that of my colleagues in passing condolences to the families of the bereaved on behalf of my family, the people of Runyenjes and Embu County. Mr. Speaker, Sir, I remember Prof. Saitoti as a hard working man who was a stickler to procedures and law. I worked very closely with Prof. Saitoti in the PNU Party. He was a man who gave room for everybody to air their views. He steered the party in a very democratic way. I believe that the party should ...
