Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I want to speak about regional stability as regards Somalia and now Sudan and South Sudan. Part of the reason we get challenges within the tourism sector is because of perceived insecurity in the country, especially that which emanates from our neighbouring countries. I think that this country must do whatever it takes to ensure that Sudan and South Sudan do not go into full-blown war, because it will have a direct effect on our country economically. The Ministry offers different incentives to local investors through tax exemptions on imported building materials, duty waiver on imported four by four vehicles meant for tourism, provision of loans through Kenya Tourist Development Corporation (KTDC) and running tourism association forum across the country and during Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) shows in the country. The local tour investors are encouraged to partner with KTB to market themselves in trade fairs and source markets where they can derive maximum benefits.
