  • 9 Sep 2021 in Senate: Thank you, Madam Temporary Speaker. From the onset, I congratulate Sen. (Dr.) Musuruve. Of late she is overworking in representing the people living with disabilities. I want to start from where the Motion has quoted Article 43 of the Constitution that provides for economic and social rights. You know very well that one of the basic rights in the celebrated Bill of Rights Chapter IV of the Constitution is access to affordable healthcare services in this country, including reproductive health. This Motion has come at a better time. We know that every time you are in the village, most of ... view

  • 8 Sep 2021 in Senate: I agree with Sen. Wetangula, why would you use KCB, Equity Bank and all these fancy banks and yet those people do not even know how to approach a bank. Why do we not find a more accessible and convenient way where in every village that elderly person, that PWD can access the funds? As long as they have an ID, registration through the National ID should be done. Sometimes this registration is done through Nyumba Kumi initiative and the chiefs.
