  • 24 Jul 2013 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I would like to remind hon. Mbadi that I am extremely digital. This Motion could not have come at a better time because we are at a crossroads, and we want to introduce self-reliance to all Kenyans, including the youth. I want to thank hon. Njenga for this Motion. We are doing a lot of work at cross-purposes, and this is not helping our nation. Any nation that wants to prosper must address three things. The first one is health. If you do not have healthy people, you do not have a healthy nation. ... view
  • 10 Jul 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, as you are aware, I have written a letter before and made it public. The Clerk’s Office is taking action. I apologize. I stand to support this Motion and at the same congratulate the hon. Member for bringing it. In fact, it is long overdue. I would like to associate myself with the sentiments of the Deputy view

I am not boasting but in this country, you cannot count from one to ten before you get my name in the list of experts in transport logistics and regional integration. I have offered my service in this country. When I came here, I wrote a letter and indicated that my priority number one would be to serve in the Committee responsible for transport matters but I was put in the Committee responsible for ... view
  • 27 Jun 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, the Leader of Minority Party had told me personally that I could start attending meetings of the Committee on regional integration. So, this morning, I attended a meeting of the Committee, under the chairmanship of hon. Kajuju. However, my name is not on this list, which means that I attended the Committee meeting illegally. I propose that CORD withdraws its Members from this list, so that we can do internal housekeeping before the names are brought back. Otherwise, we cannot have a few people controlling Members of Parliament, who have been elected from constituencies to represent Kenyans in ... view
  • 6 Jun 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I stand to support this Motion. In my constituency, the only roads that pass there are roads that pass from Nairobi to Kisumu and the road that passes from Nyaribari Masaba going to Bomachoge. Without infrastructure, you cannot do meaningful agricultural development, especially horticulture. You may know that in my constituency, the land sizes are very small and so the type of farming that you can do in areas like Kitale cannot be done in Nyaribari Chache because you are talking of a land size of a quarter of an acre to one acre and ... view
