Mr. Speaker, Sir, we were screened thoroughly and declared healthy. I take what Sen. M. Kajwang’ has said to be hate speech which is not healthy at this time of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI). Mr. Speaker Sir, allow me to proceed. Land issues in this country are very critical. Land will be regarded to belong to particular communities in some areas, when they sell to other communities. I would like to contribute and say that issues of land are critical in this country. It is a fact that we are among the poorest countries with regard to planning on land use. Up ...

We have got very good brains here. We have experienced former Ministers like Sen. Ndwiga who was Minister for Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Cooperative Societies for a long time. He could have come so that we reason together. We could have given him better ideas that could have assisted him in managing this particular challenge.

Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir, for also giving me this opportunity to join you in welcoming the delegation from Kisii County to what I would rather call their home. They are my neighbours and we have interacted with most of them. I congratulate them for coming here to benchmark. I encourage them to support the Senate on matters oversight in our counties. The greatest challenge that the Senators face sometimes is when the MCAs go to bed with the executive of the counties, hence making our work very difficult. I encourage them to continue supporting the Senate. This is because ...

Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. Allow me to speak in English because Kiswahili is a little bit of a challenge to me as of now. However, I know I will learn it as time goes by.
