For several years, roads were not maintained. We are simply trying to catch up by trying to deal with the backlog. Members from the area, and to this House, that work will be done to ensure that, that particular road is motorable before the new contractor is on site. view

This, in my calculation, amounts to about 57 per cent of the total network of roads in Ol Kalou and not 70 per cent as indicated by the hon. Member. (b) The Ministry of Roads is in the process of carrying out an inventory of all unclassified roads in the country in order to qualify and have them properly classified.
