On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. Three weeks ago, I sought a statement from the Chair of the Committee on National Security and Foreign Relations Committee regarding two women traders at Daraja Mbili market in Kisii town who lost their lives. There is considerable anxiety out there. People want to know how and what caused the death of those women.

Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I have listened to the Senate Majority Leader. We are actually talking about a very serious matter. In fact, the matter of crisis proportions that we sit in this House, deliberate on Bills and pass them but somebody decides that that will be the end of the road for those Bills. I request the Speaker to work with the entire leadership of this House and find a way forward in respect of this matter so that it is resolved once and for all and as quickly as possible. Thank you, Madam Speaker, for giving me the opportunity. I will make very brief remarks. First and foremost, I would like to say an emphatic “no” to this Bill. I strongly believe that we, as lawmakers, must all work towards fulfilling the spirit of the Constitution at all times.
