If we want to move Kenya forward and if we want a good country, we need to seriously consider having stable macro-economic policies in place. Buy the Senate saying we give additional resources to counties, it was just attempting to be politically correct. I looked at this Report and the first question that I asked myself is whether a ruling of the EACJ can provide a bedrock on how candidates to EALA can be nominated. The law must cut across or fit all. If we allow the law to be fleeting and applied selectively, then we will not be doing justice in this House. The EALA is the legislative arm of the EAC. It is a very important institution for the partner States of the EAC. It provides the democratic representation of the people of ... view

  • 16 May 2017 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I stand to second this very important Bill. The purpose of this Bill is to operationalize and anchor into law what we have always done. We have always considered this to be a normal undertaking. On Saturday, I happened to attend a ceremony that awards what is called “winners” in a school where my child attends. The climax of the award ceremony appeared to have been when the certificates and trophies were being given out.
