  • 30 Nov 2022 in National Assembly: catchment areas are protected so that we have enough water for irrigation and produce enough food in our farms. We also have a challenge with our infrastructure. For example, I represent Igembe Central where we have thousands of acres of arable land but taking the farm produce to the market is a challenge. This is because there are no roads in the rural areas where the farms are. There is one major road known as Kore Road and the area where it leads to can feed the whole of Meru County and lower Eastern Region if there are other roads ... view
  • 30 Nov 2022 in National Assembly: for about three days. It was previously controlled by Ethiopians who immediately sent their Trade Minister to Djibouti to make sure that our supply was cancelled. Therefore, you realise that there are countries that take that crop seriously and contribute to their countries’ gain. When we used to supply miraa to Europe, Kenya Airways used to thrive through the funds that were moderated by Mirugi. view
  • 24 Nov 2022 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Speaker. First and foremost, I congratulate Hon. Hassan, the Member for Kamukunji, for bringing this Statement. I believe that you own whatever you buy. When one buys bundles, you own them. The bundles are yours and you should be given a chance to use them whenever you need to. Those companies are defrauding users and should understand that what you buy is yours. They should give users an opportunity to use their bundles during their time of use. In most rural areas, there are no network connections. If you buy bundles when you are in town, ... view
  • 24 Nov 2022 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Speaker for giving me a chance contribute to the Motion on Consideration of Sessional Paper on the National Automotive Policy. I believe it is wonderful. I congratulate the Government of the day for bringing this Sessional Paper. view
  • 24 Nov 2022 in National Assembly: I believe the Government will go ahead and fund this idea to be a reality. What encourages production is consumption. The Government should fund technology in this country. It is blessed with very brilliant brains and young talented people who have great ideas. We have reached milestones in technology in this country. If the Government supports the entrepreneurs to research and put up the wonderful automobiles that we need, I believe building classic automobiles will not be a big thing in this country. As earlier said by some Members, we also need to manufacture motorcycles because we have a very ... view
  • 24 Nov 2022 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Speaker, Kenya is among the best models of technology in East and Central Africa. If none of these countries in the region has this idea of manufacturing their motor vehicles, we will have a very big market. There is no economy in this world that can grow without exports. If you look at the countries which have grown, Japan, China and those other Middle East countries, they have grown because they had a chance to export their products. Therefore, we can take advantage of Africa where other countries are a bit sleepy and build our automobile industry and ... view

  • 23 Nov 2022 in National Assembly: I support this Petition. We have had these offices given different names by different regimes, especially the Office of the Prime Minister. If it is entrenched in the Constitution, it will be there for any other leader that comes. The most important thing to discuss are the issues at hand. We have very many problems in Kenya right now. Two months ago, we were discussing lack of rainfall. When the rains came, we are talking about floods. This shows we lack preparedness in all these instances. We should be prepared to serve our people when there is no rain. When ... view
  • 2 Nov 2022 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Speaker. First, I congratulate Hon. Mule and Hon. Gichimu for proposing this Bill. The NG-CDF has been a very important Fund to every Kenyan. It is the only Fund that stands for everyone, regardless of where you come from, the party you are affiliated to, or the number of terms you have served in Parliament. It truly serves every one equally. It is given to the communities that we represent to improve their living standards mostly through education and security. With this Fund entrenched in the Constitution, it will be guaranteed for the future. No other ... view
  • 2 Nov 2022 in National Assembly: our children to go back to school. All infrastructure development in my constituency are courtesy of the NG-CDF. With the increment of the Fund, we look forward to putting up more structures and supporting more children. Thank you for this opportunity and may God bless us all. view
