• 29 Nov 2016 in National Assembly: Committee takes care of it. Land is a very emotive issue in this country. We do not want to end up with local land clashes of some sort. When people become impatient or when someone is evicted from a piece of land, there are problems. Those people have been staying on that piece of land with their families and have developed it for over 30 years. view

Ottichilo is right in what he is saying. As a Committee, we met over the matter following your ruling and we have a tentative Report, but we realized that it had a slight problem. The principle in law is that any law which is not consistent with the current Constitution is inconsistent to that extent. This is likely what happened to the law touching on the Board of Nutritionists and Dieticians. If it is has not yet been aligned to the Constitution, as is being alleged, it means it is inconsistent.
