• 9 Jun 2021 in National Assembly: Taita Taveta Teachers Savings and Credit Co-operative Society (SACCO). It was bought in Kisauni Constituency where my colleague, Hon. Ali Mbogo, comes from. The Budget and Appropriations Committee approved Kshs250 million to settle the people in Kisauni Constituency and pay Taita Taveta Teachers SACCO their money because they bought the land a long time ago. Most of these teachers died. We lost the Chair of Taita Taveta SACCO early this year. These are people who pushed to get their money because their land was used to settle squatters. • 9 Jun 2021 in National Assembly: I finish my contribution by saying that we will support every idea that brings in more money to the State-funded universities. We have universities in this country that do not have enough resources to complete their projects. In the wisdom of my Committee, we allocated Kshs550 million to support Taita Taveta University to finish their mining land project that requires Kshs80 million to be complete. To start with, we have Kshs50 million that will go to the university to make sure that land will be utilised. view

• 13 May 2021 in National Assembly: Asante Sana Mheshimiwa Spika. Nami nataka kuunga mkono Maombi yaliyoletwa na wakaazi wa Makueni. Ni kweli Mheshimiwa Spika mwenzangu wa Taita Taveta ameongea na mimi nitasema kwa uchache sana kwamba kilichobaki sasa si mazungumzo tu. Tumeongea na KWS kwa muda mrefu. Tumeongea na Wizara kwa muda mrefu, lakini muda wote huo hatujapata nafuu ama afueni katika maswala haya. Tumeona ni watu ambao wanasema mambo ambayo hawatekelezi. Kule kwangu Wundanyi kuna sehemu inaitwa Kishushe. Wiki iliyopita shule sita zilivamiwa na ndovu, matanki ambayo tumenunua na pesa za NG-CDF yakabomolewa. • 13 May 2021 in National Assembly: wanasema hawana pesa za kufidia lakini wakati SGR ikijengwa, KWS ilifidiwa karibu Kshs6 bilioni. Pesa zile wao wakatumia kwa mambo yao badala ya kufidia wananchi. What my friend has said is true. Some of us have sat here for a long time. It is important for every Member to get an opportunity to speak. view
• 29 Apr 2021 in National Assembly: I want to start by correcting some information. One, there are Members here who insist that the Second Schedule of the Bill is not scientific and constitutional. There is something that Members who spoke in the morning did not tell us. They gave us the number of people in their counties without telling us the number of constituencies they have at the moment. For instance, Kitui County was mentioned. It has a population of over 1.3 million and eight constituencies. Kwale County has a population of 850,000 and only four constituencies.
