  • 1 Feb 2017 in National Assembly: Thank you. The last point that I want to make is the one Hon. T.J. Kajwang’ raised. I am not a lawyer, but I agree with what Hon. T.J. Kajwang’ has said regarding the law profession. Students going to the Law School take a long time to get their qualifications. At the end of the course, they are admitted either to the Bench or the Bar. At the same time, for the advocates, particularly, it is not fair to restrict, as Hon. T. J. Kajwang’ has said. You might, after some time, want to take a break. If it is ... view

  • 22 Nov 2016 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. As the Leader of the Majority Party has just said, it is important for timelines to be set in the law so that nobody will have the luxury of--- He has said that the National Assembly will do its work within the timelines. We are also pleading with our brothers and sisters in the Senate to do the same. My only problem is about Sub-clause 5. That is if Parliament does not make a decision under Sub-section (2) within 90 days. I now wonder. First, it was 60 days. Therefore, where are the 90 ... view
