  • 27 Aug 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Chairlady. I agree with Hon. Ichungw’ah. At one time, the policy was that agencies were withholding 16 per cent. Where I worked, they never used to remit that. It caused a lot of problems thereafter. The Government was unable to--- Secondly, when it came to the Government to make some refund to the people who had exceeded the amount when they were making their VAT returns, again it was a problem. So, I agree with Hon. Ichungw’ah that we oppose this amendment. We should not allow agencies to withhold VAT; let the person who is ... view
  • 6 Aug 2015 in National Assembly: I even forgot that it was a new clause. I support but at the same time Hon. Dalmas has just proposed something. I know the rules are that we have to move as it is. But, maybe, we need to look at this and change these things so that we can save time. view

The volume of the Bill might have confused us, and we did not know exactly what we were voting for. As he has said, we voted to remove the whole Clause 95, which was not the position. The vote was only for the amendment that was moved by the Chairman. I beg to second. view
