  • 22 Jul 2008 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I would like the Minister to clarify the following: I request the Minister to tell us the position of the Ministry on the number of the guidance and counselling teachers in our schools, because it is paramount that, that be provided for. Regarding drugs, we are hearing from all over that the famous drink known as alvaro could be having some alcoholic content. Mr. Speaker, Sir, could the Minister ensure that the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) checks to confirm that it is not an alcoholic drink, because it is very famous among our people? • 16 Jul 2008 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I would like to thank the Assistant Minister for his answer. But I think he is not feeling for the plight of the people who are actually working in these estates, unless he is telling this House that it is only the locals who shall be allowed to work in these places. Given that now we have free secondary education, could the Assistant Minister give firm instructions to all the DEBs, especially in areas where schools have not been registered, to register all these schools within one month? This will enable the Kenyan children to benefit from the ... view

  • 18 Jun 2008 in National Assembly: Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir, for giving me this opportunity. Yesterday, business was interrupted when I had just taken the Floor to contribute to the Budget Speech. Mr. Speaker, Sir, it should go on record that the interruption yesterday was mainly because we lost our colleagues and there were several meetings going on. Some meetings were being conducted in Harambee House. As a result of those meetings, many hon. Members were not able to be in the House. Today, it is also worth noting that most Questions were dropped basically because the House is not yet really in the mood ... view
