  • 11 May 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I want to congratulate the Mover. A motion like this is not a party Motion. It is not for ODM or for PNU or for Sisi Kwa Sisi. It is for the people of Kenya. It is the people of Kenya who are suffering. That is why when a Motion like this one comes to the House, you see that all the hon. Members support it. Therefore, I support this Motion and commend the Mover. I also want to say that we are a very wasteful country. Even this Parliament is very wasteful. Parliamentarians the ... view

  • 27 Apr 2011 in National Assembly: Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, I wish to support this Motion, which is really timely and congratulate Mr. Chanzu for bringing it before this House. In 2003, if the allocation per student was Kshs10,265 and it is still the same today, and yet the inflation rate per year has gone up by 10 per cent, it means that the value of Kshs10,265 has gone down to almost Kshs2,500. This Kshs2,500 in real money terms is very little and cannot sustain these students. That is why it is very necessary and important to double this amount to Kshs20,000. I would like the ... view
  • 27 Apr 2011 in National Assembly: With those few remarks, Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, I beg to support this Motion. view
  • 26 Apr 2011 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. Is it in order for the Member to say that the Ligale Commission concluded its report and we adopted it when we said that they did a shoddy work? We could not accept that report, but we only said that it forms the basis of a report that was done by the Committee on Justice and Legal Affairs. view
