  • 2 Apr 2015 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman, the amendments are intended to re-cast the role of the Audit Advisory Board. Clause 27 talks about three similar roles. Paragraph (d) talks about reviewing audit committee‘s recommendations; (e) talks about giving any other advice that may be sought, and (f) talks of provision of counsel on technical issues and any other advice that the Auditor-General may request. These are similar functions. So, I thought it wise to reduce them in the manner that I have proposed. view
  • 2 Apr 2015 in National Assembly: The role of the Board shall be generally to advise the Auditor-General on those matters. It shall advise on the structure, recruitment of managers, approving estimates, remuneration and any other advice that may be sought. I thought these are more concise than the many that are here and almost mean the same thing. view
