  • 30 Jul 2014 in National Assembly: I have heard people talk about the court judgment. Even the Supreme Court cannot quote the same judgment because it was wrong, and was prepared without the right documents. Where are these documents the are talking about? Why did they not bring them to Parliament to prove that the elections were free and fair? We know that Jubilee stole the election fair and square and we will live with it. view

It is a time when Members of Parliament are supposed to get responses from Chairpersons of Committees and the Leader of the Majority Party on issues concerning the constituents. In March, 2014, I raised a very important issue through a Statement. Through the Leader of ... view

I have been requesting the Leader of the Majority Party to provide that Statement but he has not done so to date. I do not know whether they are waiting for it to lapse. The Statement was on the status of view
  • 16 Jul 2014 in National Assembly: motorcycle riders, and specifically what is being done to help them do their job in the right manner. I made the request in March. I have severally requested that a response be brought to the House but up to today I have not received it. view

  • 16 Jul 2014 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, I can see the Chairman of the Budget and Appropriations Committee leaving and I would like to make a statement before he leaves. This is very important and has been raised by the Member who has just spoken. As I thank hon. Millie Odhiambo for this, the reason hon. Millie Odhiambo did not say that this Bill will be funded from the Consolidated Fund is because she could not tell what that Committee will do. This is a constitutional Bill. If you look at Article 50(9) of the Constitution, it says that:- “Parliament shall enact legislation ... view
