  • 18 Feb 2020 in National Assembly: This country relies on agriculture. If these locusts find their way into the agricultural parts of this country, then that will be a disaster. I know you have power, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. Maybe this country will be saved from the locusts by your direction. At the end of this Motion, I want you to order the Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries to appear before this House to tell Kenyans what plans he has put in place to ensure that the locusts are killed and we save this country from the locusts. From the time the locusts were ... view
  • 18 Feb 2020 in National Assembly: If the agricultural economy of the country is going to be destroyed by locusts, I would like to tell the Cabinet Secretary and his team who have the responsibility of safeguarding the country against the locusts that his predecessor left riding on locusts and for him, he may be a candidate for impeachment if he fails to combat the locusts. view
  • 18 Feb 2020 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I support the Motion. view
  • 28 Nov 2019 in National Assembly: Yes, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. I want to support the Chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Energy. This is a special regulatory authority. I want to ask my brother Hon. Osotsi to support it. I do not know what are “Mwongozo Guidelines” They are just guidelines to guide us on what to do, but if you look at radioactive elements, they are very dangerous. Therefore, we need to ensure that the Board is properly balanced as it has been proposed. I, therefore, support the position of the Chair that we leave it as he has proposed. view

  • 26 Nov 2019 in National Assembly: Who are you? Why are you accusing me? For what purpose? You are becoming unruly. I will…. Stupid! view
  • 26 Nov 2019 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I apologise to Hon. Passaris and the House and withdraw. I invite her for dinner at 7.30 in the evening. view
  • 26 Nov 2019 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker, for giving me this opportunity to support this Bill. This is a Bill whose time has come. As a House, we have time to suggest amendments and even improve it further. I say so because there has been an existing lacuna in terms of the functions of the county governments and the national Government. This Bill seeks to provide an elaborate way of apportioning the responsibilities to both national and county governments so that the two levels of government will, going forward, understand how to improve and regulate the gaming industry. view
  • 26 Nov 2019 in National Assembly: I am also happy that this Bill seeks to bring into existence Gaming Regulatory Authority. Every industry in this country must be regulated. This Authority is going to ensure that the gaming industry is done in a particular manner so that we can protect the very citizens of this country. It is worth noting that there is no country that has prospered through gaming. The introduction of gaming in this country has contributed to the dwindling education standards because school-going children have been wasting most of their time gambling in the markets. We have even had wrangles happening in families ... view
  • 26 Nov 2019 in National Assembly: Because this industry has not been regulated, we have had some gaming firms coming up to defraud Kenyans of their money. Going forward, even if gaming is going to continue, it is going to be done in a regulated framework that will ensure transparency and punch out fraudsters in the name of gaming. view
