  • 29 Nov 2017 in National Assembly: I am saying that we must link the emergency services to the police commanders’ hotlines so that whenever we have an emergency, the police should clear traffic so that those emergency vehicles access the places they are supposed to get to. view
  • 29 Nov 2017 in National Assembly: Even if we had those emergency lanes created tomorrow, matatus will use them and broken down cars will be parked on them. Today, we have pavement but matatus and cars drive on them and nothing is done. So, I do not see any need of wasting taxpayers’ money to create emergency lanes when this matter can be handled administratively. • 29 Nov 2017 in National Assembly: important. The way the police clear traffic for a CS to get to see this girlfriend should be the same for the emergency vehicles to get to where there is an emergency and save the situation. view
  • 29 Nov 2017 in National Assembly: I oppose the Motion. Thank you. view
  • 8 Nov 2017 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker for giving me this opportunity. Let me begin by conveying my message of sympathy to the people of Nyeri County who lost their governor. I assure them that the people of Kimilili Constituency will stand with The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly. • 8 Nov 2017 in National Assembly: I rise to support this Motion because in everything planning is very important. Even as we woke up in the morning, we planned what we were going to do and how to do it. Any institution that does not plan, I dare say, shoots itself in the foot. It is therefore important for us to plan our towns. Most of the disasters that have happened in this country have the root cause in poor planning. By planning, we oversee the risks and mitigate them. This is a very important policy. I do not just support it, but I would wish ... view
  • 12 Oct 2017 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker, for giving me this opportunity to also support this Adjournment Motion. Let me begin by first appreciating and thanking Kenyans of all walks of life who wake up very early in the morning to engage in business that will enable them to put food on the table for their children. I also want to appreciate the very many Kenyans who travel from east, west and south of this republic into this city to do small businesses that will also enable them earn a living. I also want to bring to the attention of Kenyans that we ... view
  • 12 Oct 2017 in National Assembly: This Adjournment Motion is very important for us because we are going to ensure that Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta gets a resounding victory on the 26th October 2017. We are also going to ensure that Kenyans send some of the people to life time political retirement. I have been asking my good friend, the Member of Parliament for Lang'ata and we have agreed that, when considering beneficiaries of the money for the elderly, he should not forget that the former Prime Minister should be a beneficiary of that money. With all what I have said, I beg to support this Motion. view
  • 27 Sep 2017 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker for giving me this opportunity to contribute to this CFA, which is very important. Let me also begin by congratulating you for being nominated to that position. I want to support this Motion because Kenyans had been given an opportunity to draft it as opposed to what happened very many years ago. Agreement is key to regional integration. Apart from ensuring that the natural resources in the Nile River are utilised, this CFA indicates that despite the fact that the member states have different cultural diversities, they are able to come together with a ... view
  • 13 Sep 2017 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker, for giving me this opportunity and also for being firm because the activities of this House cannot be held to ransom by Members of the Opposition. We are here to serve Kenyans and we are serious. If they are serving their party leaders, I think they can do so elsewhere like they did yesterday in Kibera. We are here to serve the interest of Kenyans. All they want is to show that they can hold this country to ransom. By us not allowing them and proceeding with the business of the House, we are simply telling ... view
