• 11 Oct 2016 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, on 27th, May, 2016 at around 11.00a.m, warden No. 2008190794 Mr. Ancent Ndunda Simon was guarding the remand prisoners at a watchtower in Migori Prison when Rogers Odhiambo Otieno, a remand prisoner, jumped over the fence in an attempt to escape. The warden sounded the alarm and pursued the escapee. On realizing that the prisoner was outrunning him, the warden fired in order to disable him. On 15th June, 2016, at about 12.30 p.m., Mr. Benson Kalu was driving a Toyota Vannet motor vehicle with the registration number KCF 619M which was operating as a public service vehicle between Mombasa and Malindi towns. On reaching Bombolulu area, he was signaled by a traffic police officer in uniform, Corporal Kennedy Opasi, to stop.
