Dullo Fatuma Adan

Senator Dullo is the current Deputy Majority Leader of the Senate. She is the first elected woman Senator for Isiolo County. At 22 years she made history by serving as the first female District Officer from the Borana Community.

Mr. Temporary Chairman, Sir, I beg to move:- THAT, Clause 32 be amended in subparagraph (ii) of paragraph (a) by deleting the words “ in the Fourth Schedule” or appearing immediately after the words “therefor the words” The justification by the Committee is that we cannot list all prohibited substances in the Fourth Schedule, a better approach will be to require the Cabinet Secretary to list such substances through regulations. view

  • 29 Apr 2015 in Senate: Mr. Temporary Chairman, Sir, according to the feeling of the Committee varying the hours within which alcoholic drinks should not be advertised is to be between 6.00 a.m to 8.30 p.m. instead of 6.00 a.m to 10.00 p.m., as it is expected that most children are asleep by 8.30 p.m. I think Sen. Wetangula was also a Member of this Committee. view

The justification according to the committee is that this is in line with the principle of reducing the public wage bill. Clause 35 seeks to amend the Act so as to establish the Alcohol Drinks Promotion Regulation Committee. We are proposing to remove that. view
