looks like we are not solving the problems that are brought here by members of the public. The Petition is actually addressing a very serious concern which touches on fundamental rights of individuals especially right to property. These communities are living everywhere in this country, but their complaint about their injustice is historical. I think as a country we have to have a solution to these problems because these are people who have been marginalized over the years. We keep on recycling their problems without providing solutions. Apart from the Ndorobo, we have the Endorois and Ogiek who have been ...

That matter was brought to this House and referred to the Committee on Lands, Environment and Natural Resources. The CS was summoned several times. I think Sen. Khaniri sits in that Committee. They will end up raising funds to represent themselves in courts. It is very sad.

Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I wish to contribute to this amendment Bill. From the onset, personally as a representative of Isiolo County, I am supporting the Bill. My reason for supporting the Bill is that this is a historic moment in our country. For me, it is normally very important to be on the positive side of history making than to be on the negative side. I have participated a lot before various stakeholders as far as this Bill is concerned. There was a proposal to scrap some of the constituencies within our counties. We managed to save some of the counties. Although I know that looking at the record of the census, some people say Isiolo South Constituency is one of the constituencies that were saved. Mr. Speaker, Sir, however, there are several counties even from the ones that benefited from the constituencies that have been saved as a result of our engagement. I ...
