• 29 May 2024 in Senate: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I thank you for this opportunity. I am raising concern on the delay of Statements by Committees. I have Statements that I requested way back in February, and up to now, I have not gotten any response. I, therefore, need your intervention so that those processes can be fast-tracked. • 28 May 2024 in Senate: I am requesting to amend this, so that political parties can have the freedom to be on their own and also be within the coalition. I think this is the freedom that we seek. This will help in sorting out the challenges we face within the coalition. This will also give association by political parties within different parties. Again, even within a coalition, if you are five members, you can belong to a political party. That will help a lot. With that, I request the Senator for Kakamega to second. I thank you. view

I am disappointed with the Government on this particular issue of climate change. It has become a song year in, year out, as far as floods and droughts are concerned. In line with the same, I know there is so much threat on the ground, and more specifically, to the bloggers. I am sure the Cabinet Secretary is aware that sometimes security agencies are also used by those who are in power to silence those bloggers. The Cabinet Secretary should be on top of those things. If it is happening, they should look for ways of stopping those kinds of arrangements. view

• 8 May 2024 in Senate: concern. However, my worry is the way those operations are carried out. For example, two weeks ago there was an operation in Isiolo County in Ngare-Mara and Kula-Mawe areas. Those security agencies are destroying property, especially in semi-permanent houses. Women and kids are beaten up. Mr. Speaker, Sir, we have outstanding issues with the Cabinet Secretary and we have spoken several times about them, more specifically on matters of land. I believe no county has taken care of the interest of defence more than Isiolo because we have about four camps in Isiolo County.
