  • 2 Oct 2013 in National Assembly: Our emphasis is being busy welcoming people from abroad. They do not even try to market our products. Something must be wrong when other African countries import vegetables, fruits and milk products from Europe and yet we are neighbours. view
  • 2 Oct 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Deputy Speaker, I conclude by saying that let us encourage our farmers to produce more and let us not discourage them by paying them less for their produce. Let the milk gate price be increased. view
  • 1 Oct 2013 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Deputy Speaker. I am sorry; I was not very attentive to that question. Can it be repeated because somebody was consulting me? Was it the earlier question that was asked on the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF)? view
  • 1 Oct 2013 in National Assembly: Yes, we had a problem because that question was not sent to the Committee on Defence and Foreign Relations by the Clerk’s Office. view
  • 1 Oct 2013 in National Assembly: This is not the only question for the Committee on Defence and Foreign Relations that has been asked on this Floor and has not been sent. There is another question that was asked on the issue of a Kenyan who was killed in an accident by a diplomat. You remember I said I was going to give the answer in three weeks and up to now that question has not yet gone to the Principal Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. So, it is the problem of the Clerk’s Office. Thank you, hon. Deputy Speaker. view
  • 26 Sep 2013 in National Assembly: On a point of order, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. It seems that hon. Members of Parliament are not taking seriously this issue because we lack quorum. We are only 42. view
  • 26 Sep 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, what I was trying to say is that we need the debate to continue but the number of Members of Parliament is around 33 and there is no quorum. I should say that because that is the law. Most of them are drinking tea. Could they be called? view
  • 26 Sep 2013 in National Assembly: On a point of order, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I am an hon. Member. No. You cannot call me kwenda . It is wrong. view
  • 26 Sep 2013 in National Assembly: No. Hata kama ni mama, she is a Member of Parliament. view
  • 25 Sep 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Deputy Speaker, I have a problem with these gadgets. We do not know when to push the buttons. Sometimes you wait for the Motion to start to push the button. Sometimes people are given the Floor before others because they had pushed their buttons earlier. So, could you give us direction? When do we push the buttons when we want to speak? Is it immediately we enter into the Chamber or when debate on a Motion starts? view
