  • 4 May 2016 in Senate: Hon. Senators, this is an honourable House. I am in agreement with the point that the Senator for Kiambu has raised. If my memory serves me right, during the fight for freedom and liberation in this country, people from Kiambu County played a critical role. Not only were they homeguards but a critical number of them were also in the Mau Mau Movement. Therefore, on that particular note, you are out of order. view
  • 4 May 2016 in Senate: I will give only one intervention to Sen. Hassan and then allow Sen. (Dr.) Khalwale to conclude his contribution. view
  • 4 May 2016 in Senate: Thank you for that clarification. Sen. (Dr.) Khalwale, you may now proceed without interruption because we need to bring this to a closure. view
  • 4 May 2016 in Senate: Senator, you are now beginning to deviate from the Motion. I want you not to digress any further and go back to seconding this Motion so that we bring it to a closure. view

  • 4 May 2016 in Senate: Sen. (Dr.) Khalwale, give Sen. Lesuuda time to give her intervention. view
  • 4 May 2016 in Senate: Senator, elaborate what exactly you meant. view
  • 4 May 2016 in Senate: Hon. Senators, consult in low tones so that Sen. Lesuuda can give her contribution. view
  • 4 May 2016 in Senate: Hon. Senators, I will proceed to put the question. I wish to remind the House that this Motion does not affect counties. The process of constituting this Committee to undertake this responsibility does not affect counties but when they give their report to the House, it will. So, we shall vote then. I will proceed to put the question as set out in the Order Paper. view
