Elizabeth won the Kasarani parliamentary seat in 2007, a constituency that was previously dominated by hardened male politicians. She also served as an assistant minister in the coalition government and was ODM party’s deputy Chairperson.

Mr. Speaker, Sir, it is very sad that while all the students sit the same exam nationally, some students are given a solid foundation while others encounter what you can refer to as real learning in class three or four. Mr. Speaker, Sir, this is a very serious issue that, apart from threatening to take the good legacy of this country as a sporting nation, it is now retrogressing on the gains that we have already made in the area of attracting sports tourists. Further to all issues that have been raised, what is the Government doing to set up parallel investigations to confirm these allegations and allay fears that this is not even about competition blackmail? We know that this nation has held for many years some of the records in athletics.
