  • 15 Nov 2023 in Senate: of maize is selling at between Kshs60 and Kshs75. That is directly lifted from the Address of the President. Mr. Speaker, Sir, I have taken time and travelled far and wide to validate that very statement by the President. This statement by the President is not true. On Sunday, I was in Luanda, Vihiga County. I took the pain to go around and ask the people of Luanda whether the price of a gorogoro was retailing at Kshs70. All of them said that the least you can get is Kshs90. In most cases, it is Kshs100 and Kshs110. Today, I ... view
  • 8 Nov 2023 in Senate: Thank you, Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir. I seek three quick clarifications. First, Hon. Josphat Nicholas Kinyua should clarify which political party he was elected on. We would not know how they would have voted if they voted. So, all Members present voted against the Governor. Is it your testimony in this House that all the 59 MCAs in Meru County who voted to impeach the Governor were coerced or ... view

  • 8 Nov 2023 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I will try to say a lot of things in three minutes. First of all, I want to go on record on this impeachment Motion. It is clear to this House, to this country and to the world that the relationship between the Governor and the Members of the County Assembly (MCAs) of Meru is almost irreparably broken. view

This Senate was available to the parties, they had an opportunity to approach the Senate Standing Committee on Devolution to settle their issues. They passed those opportunities. Both parties have ... view
