The parties before the Senate to process this impeachment Motion have come to us seeking justice and that is what they must expect; justice to the parties and justice to the people of Meru. There is open, obvious aggression between the two parties, and it is playing out in public. I want the Counsel to tell us, and help us to make a decision on this admission whether there is a requirement in law for the governor to be a friend of the other elected leaders in the county, or whether in the converse, the elected leaders in Meru County have an obligation to also maintain a relationship with the ... view

I am in full support of this Petition. Academic qualifications are as important as the dignity with which people carry themselves. The Committee that will be given the responsibility to deal with this Petition should seriously scrutinize the application of Chapter Six of the Constitution in the appointment and election of Speakers of county assemblies and Parliament.
