17 Jun 2009 in National Assembly:
Thank you, Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker. I also join my colleagues in commending the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance for the Budget Speech. It is truly a Budget that we should all be proud of and support. We should also work hard. I would also like to tell all Members of Parliament that this is a challenge to us. All of us should for once deliver service to the citizens of this country and stop politicking. We have to work extremely hard when we are allocated a lot of money to ensure that we deliver services to our ...

17 Jun 2009 in National Assembly:
Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, I also want to commend the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance for thinking about persons with disabilities. These people are ignored in most Budgets. Nobody has been thinking about them. However, in this Budget, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance has set up a fund of Kshs200 million which will go a long way to prove that being disabled does not mean being unable to serve the country. Mr. Speaker, Sir, I wish to reply. (a) As of now, none of the women groups in the four administrative divisions in Kuresoi have received any funds from the WEDF. 26 Nov 2008 in National Assembly:
Mr. Speaker, Sir, one of the problems with dispersing the funds in Kuresoi area was the political unrest after the general elections. That was a handicap in the area. Mr. Speaker, Sir, the other reason is that this is a new district and to date, we do not have a Social Gender District Officer in the area. Therefore, we are using the Social Gender District Officer from Nakuru. That has been a handicap between the office and the women groups. However, I think the matter is now under control and that is why we have 23 women groups being considered ...

7 Aug 2008 in National Assembly:
Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, thank you for recognising gender I was wondering what was happening! We have all talked about adjournment. I stand here to support it. We have come through a very big crisis in our schools and children are going home. They are closing schools and others are already closed. I feel it is very important that we all go back to our constituencies to find out what is ailing our schools and children. We cannot do this substantially if we are in Parliament. So, I beg to support this Motion and hope that by the time we ...
