  • 27 Jun 2018 in National Assembly: I support this Motion because it is high time we moved together as one for the benefit of the youth of this society. The Kenyan economy will go to Second World and onwards to First World. Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, I support. view
  • 21 Jun 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker, for giving me the opportunity to contribute to this Petition. I rise to support it. The issue of Tatu City is common and widespread within the Kenyan jurisdiction. It is high time we fast-tracked these issues and made laws that will progressively resolve the land issues. The issue of Tatu City, if tackled appropriately, will set a precedent to solve land injustices in this country. Thank you. view
  • 20 Jun 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me this opportunity to rise and support this important Motion. Also, I will appreciate Hon. Vincent Mogaka for bringing this important Motion to our children. Feeding programme is one of the millennium goals which are very important, especially for our children. Because of climate change, there are areas like the coffee zone in Kangundo where I come from, where farmers produce nothing and the market is also very poor. So, you find you do not have enough stock to feed our children. Also, cotton and tea zones are all affected by climate ... view

  • 13 Jun 2018 in National Assembly: I would like to put to your notice that our co-operative societies make our citizens suffer. Our farmers are crying in all the co-operative societies today. All the cartels, especially in the coffee industry, have taken everything from our farmers through the co-operative societies. • 13 Jun 2018 in National Assembly: land grabbers are forming co-operatives and they grab people’s land. So, the State Department for Co-operatives needs to move and check on the system which is used to register co-operative societies. Some of them are not registered in good faith or for the activities which they intend to carry out. view
  • 13 Jun 2018 in National Assembly: As we approve their Budget, we need to see proper policies which are restructured in line with the Constitution 2010. That is because they are using very old policies which are not there. The co-operative societies lack strategic plans because they are not under a full-fledged Ministry. This Department needs to give us a strategic plan or development of co-operative societies. Some of them are operating on debts and borrowing bank loans using the security deposit of the farmers. view
  • 13 Jun 2018 in National Assembly: There is the issue of micro-management in this State Department for Cooperatives. The major shareholder is the one who manages the co-operative society, while the small shareholders who are the growing youth are nowhere to be seen. I support their Budget but we need to see a lot of activities from the State Department in terms of helping the co-operative societies to revamp. view
