• 1 Aug 2019 in Senate: A lot of money is spent training people on the job. When someone is newly employed, someone else from the organization trains them. Effecting employment on contract basis will mean that the time used to train the new employee is wasted. The organization’s resources are wasted if the employee will serve for a very short time. view

In accounting, you need a whole year cycle to understand what happens weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually in an accounting department. That means that one will spend the whole year training, and will be left with two years to work, which is too little. view

For instance, if a new Government takes over before someone’s contract is over, new people might be brought in, who are favoured by the current regime to replace the existing ones. There were also calls for the national Government to address the rationalisation of the wage bill. We have 20 governors who have raised their wage bill by more than 10 per cent in a span of two years. This House together with the MCAs stand indicted for not taking action.
