They say nothing can stop an idea whose time has come and I think this is the right time for this Bill. If it is not the right time, it should have been yesterday. Nairobi City County contributes 60 per cent to the economy of this country. We should reduce traffic jams and have pavements for cyclists and pedestrians. • 24 Oct 2018 in Senate: to ensure that there is consistency. This is because the danger of leaving it to the CEC is that each county will take its time depending on when they are ready. Once this Bill is passed by the Senate - which I am sure we are reasonable enough to - then we can follow up with the Ministry of Devolution and ASAL areas in conjunction with the Council of Governors (CoG), to fast-track the regulations so that this becomes an instant Bill that is implemented immediately together with its regulations. view

(Dr.) Zani for bringing this Statement. Sen. Kihika has made us extremely proud as Kenyan women and the country as a whole. She has shown that Kenyan women – after her and Sen. Mugo – are of substance. She has also become a good role model and a mentor to Kenyan women and now they can feel that even the sky is not the limit for them.
