Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Justice, Legal Affairs and Human Rights, then we would not have been in the list of people whose House is almost being dissolved. We are surviving right now because President Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta decided to take his time on that. Otherwise, we would have been dissolved. Let us have people who are friendly to the other gender. Madam Deputy Speaker, in terms of the Senate being weakened, I believe that as long as Sen. Orengo is on the table, we will survive on that one as a House. Let us trust the process and I am sure things will be right.

Thank you, Madam Deputy Speaker for giving me this opportunity. I thank Sen. Cherargei for bringing this Statement, but I have a different view on the schools reopening. I believe that we need to follow the Government’s health guidelines. I do not think that Prof. Magoha, being a medic himself, would reopen schools carelessly if he thought that the risk outweighed the benefit. I have worked with the Professor at the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC), when he was the Chair of Kenya Accountants and Secretaries National Examinations Board (KASNEB), and I know how he works.
