  • 6 Oct 2010 in National Assembly: (b) how many teachers and support staff have been posted by the Ministry to the new schools. view
  • 30 Sep 2010 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. Considering that there is a new law on how to deal with organized crime, could we also involve the Departmental Committee on Justice and Legal Affairs, so that the Assistant Minister could be directed on how to deal with organized crime in future instead of eliminating the suspects? view
  • 30 Sep 2010 in National Assembly: Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir, for giving me this chance. I rise to support the Motion. First, the list is not representative because some of the names in it are supposed to be different. First and foremost, we have one person, who is the chairman of the Parliamentary Caucus on Constitutional Review, Mr. Mungatana and his name is not on that list. During the constitutional making process, he did a lot of work; we had so many meetings. I just wonder how other names can appear there and his name is not there. Also looking at the list, we have ... view
  • 28 Sep 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I take this opportunity to first thank the Minister for work well done, especially in giving my people of Embakasi boreholes. We got 22 boreholes which are under construction but we still do not have electricity connection. Could the Minister clarify when they are going to connect electricity so that we can start using the water from the boreholes? view
  • 1 Sep 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, while on this Question on funds from the Ministry of Education, we are also supposed to receive some bursary funds from the same Ministry for secondary students. Could the Assistant Minister tell us when we will receive those funds? view
  • 1 Sep 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I wish to remind the Assistant Minister that schools are opening next week and some of the students are eagerly waiting for the bursary money, so that they can pay their fees. Actually, we have even written some letters to the schools to wait for the bursary money. Could the Assistant Minister clarify on the specific date when we will receive the bursary funds for secondary school students? view
  • 25 Aug 2010 in National Assembly: asked the Minister of State for Provincial Administration and Internal Security:- (a) when the Dandora Police Post will be upgraded to a Police Station; and, (b) how much money has been set aside for its construction in the 2010/2011 Financial Year. view
  • 25 Aug 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I thank the Assistant Minister for his answer. The Assistant Minister has been promising to take action on Dandora Police Post because of the situation there. We have a very serious insecurity problem there. I have always thought that he is going to take it as an emergency case. When, in particular, is the gazettement of Dandora Police Station going to take place? view
  • 25 Aug 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, because of the urgency of the matter in our constituency--- My people were thinking that if the Ministry is not going to allocate money immediately, we could factor the administration block into our Constituencies Development Fund (CDF) programme. Therefore, I would like the Assistant Minister to clarify whether he is going to do it in the current financial year, so that if it emerges that he is not going to do it, we can factor its cost into our CDF proposals for the current financial year. Is the Assistant Minister ready to do that? view
  • 25 Aug 2010 in National Assembly: On a point of order Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. Since copies of the Report have been distributed to Members, would I be in order to ask the Mover of the Motion to summarize instead of reading the whole Report? view
