  • 20 Aug 2015 in National Assembly: With those few remarks, I support this Bill. I hope Members will come out in large numbers to pass the Bill so that we can know the roles of each one of the organs of Government. Thank you so much. view

  • 20 Aug 2015 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, this is a very important policy paper. We should have been given more time to deliberate on it. Conflicts have been there for quite some time. I have been involved in conflict resolution in my area between the people of Trans Nzoia and West Pokot. Because of collaboration and regular meetings, we have been able to resolve the conflict. This policy paper is very important and it has come at the right time. However, I am afraid we may not be very exhaustive in our presentation. However, for us to attain peace, we must eliminate corruption ... view

  • 6 Aug 2015 in National Assembly: As a member of the Committee on Implementation in the National Assembly, I want to assure the House that we are going to fast track the Motion that was brought here by Hon. Eugene Wamalwa and see how far the previous Parliament discussed it. view
  • 6 Aug 2015 in National Assembly: I want to make one correction here. There is a difference between the chairmen of view

Nyumba Kumi initiative came in recently because of security, but these elders, who are under their chairmen are very different. In my case, we have the two parallel groups and the one we are talking about is the elders not the chairmen of the Nyumba Kumi initiative. This must be made very clear. The chairmen of the Nyumba Kumi initiative deal with security and the chairmen of the elders deal with matters regarding traditions of an area. view
  • 6 Aug 2015 in National Assembly: Hon. Deputy Speaker, I support that the Committee should move fast; meanwhile, as a member of the Committee on Implementation, I will fast track the Motion that was brought by Hon. Eugene Wamalwa. view
