Speaker, I have looked at the response from the Chairman of the Departmental Committee on Lands and I want to tell him, just like my colleagues have mentioned, the issue of settlement in Trans Nzoia is a very serious one. I think the Government is not serious in settling the squatters in Trans Nzoia. Apart from that, it will manage the purchase and distribution of fertilizer on timely basis. Currently, the importation of fertilizer is done by the National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB), which is not its core business. Secondly, the current arrangement is that it is the Government that actually buys fertilizers in this country. Again, that is not the core business of the Government.
