Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, I want to ask the Members to pass the Motion and we pay these KPRs because they are very important in our society in the absence of enough policemen in this country. I support the Motion.

Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, the presentation by hon. Langat is very good but I wonder what is happening with the sound system. He is making a very good presentation but I cannot hear him despite the fact that I am quite close to him. There is something very interesting about this particular Bill but I am not hearing anything. I am straining to hear what he is saying.

Yes, please, if something could be done; I will appreciate. Otherwise, he should move to the microphone on the Dispatch Box, so that we can hear him clearly.

Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, first of all, I want to register my displeasure on taxation. As an hon. Member mentioned, we are heavily taxed as Kenyans. I believe that the amendments that are going to be proposed should also look into that aspect. One case which was alluded to by an hon. Some of those boys have not gone to school but they sweat their way all ...

East Africa is improving the railway network. Those of us who come from very far away from Nairobi know that roads are not maintained regularly. The maintenance costs of some of the roads runs to trillions of shillings. Therefore, I would suggest that instead of us wasting money on maintaining roads, we start building our own railway line from Mombasa to Malaba. This will improve business. That is the only way we should go. Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, another thing I want to talk about is the RBA. The Bill seeks to improve the management of retirees’ benefits, including vetting ...

Hon. Speaker, the hon. Member said that distribution of drugs is going on as previously requested. My constituents do not know that the exercise is going on. We have about four dispensaries but we do not know how the distribution of drugs is being done. My constituents have asked me to find out how they can get the drugs. I am not sure whether the agency that the hon. Member has mentioned has gone down to my constituency. My people would like to know the modality through which they can get the drugs. Can he explain, so that I can ...

Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, I rise to support the amendment because looking at the presentation by hon. Langat, I was a victim sometimes back. Just after finishing university, I put my money and lost it in the Rural Credit and Urban Finance Bank.
