The Committee should also look at airstrips. Sometimes we want to get to places faster and we have a responsibility over airstrips. Some airstrips are in very bad states. I hope the Committee will look into the issue of airstrips and resources to fix them. view

There are almost five items that are wrongly captured. Was somebody up to some mischief? With all due respect, it is not only one error since it is acceptable because human is to err. But, why are the errors repeated in almost all the items read. Can the Chairman explain? view

From the onset, I cannot reconcile that we do not have a substantive Auditor-General in the Republic of Kenya. I just want to echo the sentiments of my brother, the Member for Mwea. • 27 Nov 2019 in National Assembly: come to my place, Trans Nzoia, Coast or North Eastern, you will get somebody who can do that job even better than Mzee Ouko. If the worse comes to the worst, we should continue and give them some four or five days, maybe two or three weeks. Even if we are on recess, we should be recalled to settle this issue because everything is at a standstill. Many things are not moving. • 19 Nov 2019 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman, I agree that county governments should open bank accounts for accountability purposes. I feel a bit cheated in this amendment. We should have a particular bank like the Kenya Commercial Bank, where county government treasuries should open bank accounts. Corruption can creep in when money goes to any bank and accountability will become a problem. We should name the bank. I do not know whether that is possible. We may have cases where some county executives may have interest in particular banks. view
